Any Recommendations for Car Transportation?

Either relocating to Denver or San Francisco for work. Seems like the relocation package will be more of a lump-sum and then I have figure out movers, etc.

I'm not particularly thrilled about driving from Chicago to either place, just because I'd imagine that between Illinois and Denver is nothing but flat and boring terrain, and I'm not sure I want to put unnecessary miles on my car if there's room in the budget to have it shipped.

Has anyone had any positive experiences with a car transportation service?

Definitely go with an outfit that has their own trucks, not a broker. Will save you a lot of hassle on the drop-off and pickup ends with scheduling, generally costs a bit more.

I personally went with Intercity Lines (enclosed), great experience door-to-door.
