I love it and I for one, love the color blocking. Such a great way to make a car stand out and look individual.
Love how clean and simple the rear and sides are. I keep saying, get rid of door handles BMW, there's no need for them any longer and they ruin the side view of cars. Interior is stunning....

This is proof that BMW has completely lost their way. Concepts, while designed to push boundaries, are much like a thesis statement in writing. Designed to project the general direction of design and technology, the concept should bare a design element which inspires and evokes passion in the brand.
This concept however, looks like a Nike sneaker concept for a movie which is supposed to take place in the year 2190 (aka no one gives a f@ck). This is dogshit in the realm of what is actually possible. Yet the clown-shoe behind this project actually is paid quite handsomely for this utterly disgusting sham of a concept car.

Yup, that's gonna be a yikes from me dog. BMW is controlled by the Grun Party and SD of Germany. This is a joke. They have essentially killed the 'motorsport' of M by literally killing any Motorsport racing BMW is involved in. Except Formula e of course. The series that gives away tickets for free. Not to mention bmw engines have essentially been the same since 2009. Even the current 40i is a modded diesel from years ago. Interiors are all cheap plastic and the stereos are all cheap Chinese garbage that murder your music before it even hits the speakers. All this fund electrics. Anyone who paid full price for an F chassis BMW got fleeced. When my M5 blows up my next car will be Audi/Porsche. Sorry, BMWs new corporate leadership is creating an unpractical, ugly, boring, appliance to fulfill the dreams of the Gruns of Germany. Atleast VAG is going down kicking and screaming. This car is a total meme and the M brand is now a souless sticker for third world money to show off on Instagram. Which racing program was this 'M next' related too again? The board says no to Le Mans, Indy, and F1 all in the same year they launch a halo car? Yeah, Audi has had better interiors for years now and RS dynamics are excellent. |

I'm looking forward to the future, tech needs to evolve and the design to go with it. This clearly speaks to the difference in generations, while I'm by no means blown away by the design concept the technology portion has me excited for the future tech. Now my kids think this is cool as shit, and some of the younger doods at work in their early twenties also find this design appealing.

And remember those silver buttons on the steering wheel of the old Z4? That was BMW wanting to use flappy paddles but not wanting to accept it has to copy everyone else. In the end those sucked and BMW adopted the normal flappies. Now we get those red buttons in the M cars because BMW doesnt want to properly copy the Manettino like Porsche, Audi and Merc did. So your serious M5 interior has two ghastly red buttons that make it look like a clown car (unless you fitted it with red leather i guess). And that new console in the M8 is still another attempt at cool interface to change the car's settings without a manettino. It still doesnt make the cut. Build a prettier steering wheel and give it manettino. And dont get me started on the shitty digital dials. Jesus Christ a Mercedes barge has digital dials that look like sporty clocks but the "ultimate driving machine" has Playstation graphics. What kept me so far was the sportiness and outside design (i own a 4 series and love it), but the future of BMW is looking bleak. I'll see if i can go for a Porsche. Their new interiors specifically are to die for. That 992 interior... my god! |

This looks like it was designed by an intern who stared at too many Lambo photos. Really not impressed. Really sad to see BMW in this state; living off past glories.

As mentioned before, BMW does not impress anymore. Not attractive. And when designers kiss their own asses by praising how beautiful and emotional and in line with tradition their work is.....game over. Never heard such rubbish. This is neither beautiful and see nothing emotional.
I much prefer the Bangle design language over to this. However for a old bmw enthusiast I'll keep my E39. |

What are BMW playing at!? Its been a very questionable year by the company so far...very cheesy ads, the design language of new cars, brand dilution, FWD 1 series (and the look of that thing!)...

I am not sure why everyone is complaining it looks very futuristic, sleek and sexy dual color. Also people compatring this to a lambo and feelig bad? guys lambo's are the best looking cars on earth and BMW's if they look similar it is not a bad this. The 7 serries grill is ugly and big, but this grill looks nice and sleek with triangular edges, I really love the design and the way the car looks. Hope the production model looks as good. Orange on silver is a striking color and sports cars are meant to be striking.

The shape of it is absolutely perfect and the rear reminds me of the lancia stratos concept. But that's about all the kudos I can give it. The matte/satin silver paint looks good in the press shots but in real life I feel like it hides the true lines of the car. The red accents look like the designers got their hands on too much plasti-dip. Seriously this would have been an e90post paint job back in 2010. I think a more traditional color like BSM or AW would have looked the part. An if you're going to add M in the name, why not compliment it with Motorsport colors? Damn, even an ltw flag would have worked here.
Why must the grills be so big and the headlights be so small?
