I’m in Portugal, on the island of Madeira, renting a new Audi A3 and I have to say, it’s great. Granted a diesel but the feel, size, steering are really exceptional. It’s a 6 speed manual and just a great car to carve these awesome island roads. Makes me want to add a hot hatch to my stable. Any recommendations? Golf R? R32? focus RS? What do you recommend? Just having a blast with the A3. Used budget $25k

Definitely Golf R is fun. My brother just traded his 2015 S3 in for a 2018 S3. The Focus RS is also great but I think the interior is a bit of a letdown.

Golf R, or GTI if the R is out of the budget.

Do you have a year or mileage requirement? Look at a 2015 Mercedes GLA45 AMG.

For 25k, youre not gonna be able to get an RS. For fun get a fiesta or focus st for around 15k, for less fun but better daily driving get a gti, R or 128/135 bmw hatch for closer to 25k.
