these photoshops are looking great. I guess that orange color played a big roll for looking real ugly.
Side shot of that car is a killer.

looks great, except the front is way to flat. It needs to have more of a aerodynamic look at the front...
it is just like | when it should be like < You guys get my analogy? |

The back... the side... the backk!!!!!
It is so damn gorgeous. The front is alright... the hollow kidney's kinda throw me off... The car in general is a terrific homage and something I would love to own simply for the purpose of staring at it.

I think it has some nice design elements but overall it's pretty crappy. Front view on it looks fantastic, but thats it.

Video: Adrian van Hooydonk talks about the M1 Concept
So van Hooydonk claims it's *not* intended for production however, serves to demonstrate "possible" future design directions...

Ugly- unless it's painted black and the rims are replaced as in the photoshopped pics.

Amusingly enough I have the exact opposite opinion. I think it looks horrible in the photoshops but I like the actual concept. Probably because the photoshops were poor and killed all the lines on the car more than it not looking good in black. (not that they rims were well matched either)

I think its a great modern interpertation of a classic design. That being said, somehow it seems dated already. Oh wait that's because its about 30 years old.
I still kind of like it though... and I like the idea of a super car BMW. |

Never like the original M1 after seeing it in person and can't say I am a fan this time round either. I just looks like a car which is trying too hard to be cool.
Not a rival to the Audi R8 in my opinion but I don't expect too many here to agree with me on this. |

It's really not meant to be an R8 rival. It's meant to be a CGT class rival. Best regards, south

Actually, after studying the design again, I'm actually really growing to appreciate the sides/back. I can't really describe it, but there's a sort of strength the car gives off from the rear 3/4. It looks powerful and aggressive. Aside from the front, there's one minor change I'd make to this car. After looking at those concept sketches, the car looks like it'd be a little better with a stronger character line running along the shoulder of the car. I think it should be pinched and made into a bone line.

Sorry South, I was only talking about looks not actual performance. I actually don't know how much power/performance BMW are looking for out of this car but if it's the CGT then it must be a lot.
