Opinions of Pirelli P-ZERO All Season
Anyone with experience on these tires? I am nervous about driving with my summer tires on my 22” 742 this Winter and debating moving to an all season instead of a dedicated Winter tire/wheel combo. I haven’t seen many reviews from any of the forum members on these.

The answer depends on where you live. Driving on summer performance tires anywhere close to the temperature where water will freeze (0c, some random number in Fahrenheit) would be foolish and possibly fatal. If you need to drive on snow and ice, get winters. If you’re someplace where snow is something that happens to other people, all seasons will be fine.

I personally don't feel I need a dedicated winter tread, but if the Pirelli A/S sucks, then I won't have a lot of choices. For me, if I buy a second set of wheels to swap out, then I might as well by the Scorpions. Last edited by 130FeetDeep; 07-25-2020 at 01:07 AM.. |

Had them on my Q7 (21") and they worked great in our Midwest winters here. P Zero Nero AS is the run flat version, but haven't tried those. Not sure if they come in 22".

Actually pretty quiet (not run flats, and the Audi had a quiet cabin in spite of no acoustic glass). They lasted as long as the car! Traded both Q7s for a pair of G05s, but probably had about 10k with minimal wear. Very nice performing tires in the snow (6-10"), at least with Quattro Drive - good traction and maneuvering. Have factory Bridgestones on the BMW now, and hoping they do as well....

I don't have dedicated winter tires that I could swap with during the winter season. I'm considering getting a set of winter tires this year since I've already experienced what all-weather tires could do. Although it's only the bare minimum, I don't think I was able to maximize its performance with its 10K run. Good to know that your option runs pretty quiet, but I'm leaning my decision in trying out winter tires from Hankook tires first.

Conti DWS 06 were way better on my F15, for example. Not yet available in 22” stock sizes AFAIK. |

I had Conti DWS06 on my last vehicle and they got VERY loud after some miles. I will never own those tires again as long as I live. I will still run summer tires on my truck for traction in the warm months. |

Are those run flat? I was thinking of sizing up this summer to 22s but didn't want to have 2 sets of tires so the only A/S I found in 22s were the Pirelli PZ4s and I haven't been able to get real reviews on them from people. The reviews on Tire Rack for them seem inconsistent or at least sounds like it's not corresponding to the same tire.

Stock 22" summer tires (Pirelli and Conti) are also NON-Runflat. |

Again, if you don't have much deep snow or ice, P-ZERO All Seasons are fine for cold and wet conditions. You will probably get longer life out of them than the Scorpion Winter.

I have the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus on my M40i, I would not recommend them if you're going to see any sort of snow or ice regularly. I bought them when they were the only option back in the staggered sizing back in late 2017. They're fine in the cold but have no grip at all when things are wet and below freezing. Slid back down my driveway in them trying to back out of it with an inch of snow. They're a year round tire as long as you only have a handful of snow/ice days and don't need to leave the house.

just saw Nitto has an AS option as well for the 22's; NT420V; anyone tried these yet? reviews about the p zero AS have me a bit worried; sure, we dont get a ton of ice or snow in the mid atlantic, but also reading about how horrible the tread life is from multiple sites.........ugh would be nice if michelin made an AS 22
