330e engine compartment wash

Does anybody know whether I should follow any extra steps or take any extra precautions before washing the engine bay of the 330e G20?

With washing I mean using the typical 3 steps method.

It seems newer hybrids come with all cable connections well sealed, but I prefer to ask rather than regretting big time stewards.

EDIT: Today I contacted the BMW dealership and they told me it can be washed like any other car, but they also told me not to remove the plastic covers for the wash.

Yeah, well, I saw some cables and that made me nervous, not knowing how well sealed they are, that's why I backed off and decided to ask first.

I wash my engine bay with water and soap. I then agitate the dirt using a brush and wash the bay with water before drying using a few microfiber cloths. I've done it a few times in my G20 330i and many times in my Audis. Absolutely no problems so far *touchwood*
