Hiring Season

Do companies/large corporations generally hire around year end? I might be looking to make a move around December.

So possibly interview in December and start in January?

I just figured they would hire people as their demand grows but I'm hearing Nov/Dec is a slow hiring season.

Many companies hire year end or near July. This is because some companies have their fiscal year begin January, and some in July.

No problem. Budgets usually open up at the beginning of the fiscal year.

It's hard to generalize on this one since it really depends on budgets and plans and hiring needs don't alway coincide with the start of the fiscal year. For example, a lot of companies do a larger portion of their annual business in their later quarters, therefore they will plan to do most of their hiring later in the year.
