I think Genesis is making their own designs that will obv resemble other cars. If they make a 4 door coupe, it's going to resemble other 4 door coupes. If they make an SUV, it'll resemble other SUVs. You might as well say, look it's got 4 doors and a trunk, how derivative lol.

There's more room to originate in interior design anyway, and there isn't anything derivative there.

I'm no Genesis fan, but I'm pretty sure they're not copying BMW design language esp not with the new designs BMW is vomiting out.

Off topic, but the CLS is actually the first luxury "Four-Door Coupe," debuting in 2004. Both the Audi and Bimmer 4-door coupes didn't come to the market until after 2010.

I also agree, so many cars look similar regardless of badge, everyone is copying everyone. Genesis is establishing their own image finally and I have to say, in person the cars look great.

True, but I only realized it this year. I knew the CLS had existed all along, but I had no idea it was suppose to be a "four door coupe". The styling never struck me as anything other than a MB sedan. Something about it just said "classy" or "luxury" to me and nothing about "sporty". Not that it wasn't, just that I never made the connection and to me it's far more apparent with Audi Sportback, BMW GC, etc. Anyway, big ah-ha moment earlier this year when I realized what the CLS was actually supposed to be...
