One of my favorite things about the G20 is the amazing steering wheel. The thing just feels good in your hands and makes you want to drive. So the question is, what products are you guys using to clean your steering wheel? Of course we're all trying to avoid the shiny, greasy look so what's given you the nice matte finish?

Currently have Lexol cleaner and conditioner for the seats but haven't tried it on the steering wheel since my wheel is still looking good after a little over a month of ownership.

Just want to plan for the near future of occasional cleaning.

Likely will use either Lexol or as a backup some leather product from Adam's or Griots...

I use like everything by either Adams or Sonax for the exterior but never have tried Adams for the interior

Autoglym leather cleaner. It's a ph neutral leather cleaner and brings the leather back to a natural matte finish. Have used it for years.

Ive used Koch Chemie Protect LeatherCare. Use a micro fibre cloth to clean and buff off. I find it works really well. I use the KC on the seats also.

Recently picked up Colourlock's New Leather care set - includes their mild cleaner as well as Leather Shield. Works great and doesn't require a lot of product so a little goes a long way.

I've recently switched to Autoglym and love it. Used Lexol, Sonax and a bunch of other brands before, but this is the first that really brings back the matte finish to seats and steering wheels. It strips basically all the dirt and oils, so I follow up with the Autoglym leather conditioner as well (still keeps it matte).

I've struggled so much with this over the years - even managed to convince BMW to give me a new wheel for my 530e...an engineer advised me that the stitching where your thumb sits, above volume control, can come undone. I was told if this happens they'll authorise a new steering wheel under warranty! Mine "came undone" just before my next service! and true to their word a new wheel was fitted.

I'll def try the autoglym on the new car (330e touring) from the off. I know someone who used washing up liquid and a soft brush - cleaned it fine but also dried the leather out and it looked horrific after a few months!!!
I guess it depends on mileage but for me, doing 2-3k a month, i do a clean once a month and condition after but find the wheel eventually goes shiny and once its gone i can't seem to get it back.
