M550 2021 Vs. 2022 - differences?

Hi. Wanted to ask this again…any notable differences between the two models? I'm hearing that mostly the 2022s had a few things removed (wireless charging, front grill cam) due to BMWs attempt to stabilize production BUT that otherwise the cars are pretty identical looks and performance-wise. Anyone able to shed some light with details?

I've done a ton of reading and learning due to my 2021 getting massively delayed (folks ordering 2022s well after me have received theirs) but now that it's finally about here I'm thankful nonetheless.

I believe BMW removed several inconsequential options on the 2022s in order to speed up production.

Thoughts?

I cannot speak on the 5 series, but on the Z4, they removed the wifi and wireless charging for the 2022's and descoped a package as well. If you are waiting on the RAM for your ordered 2021, I say wait. It will be the full speced car that the 2022 will lack things on.

Also in addition, they removed the hands-free kick to open and close trunk on the G30 5 Series, as well as the deletion of digital key (NFC card key and iPhone/Android key) from what i've seen for people's builds.

And since we’re in a crazy time. Things can still shift I am sure.

Eh, I don’t think my 11 Pro Max would fit in the wireless charging pad anyway.
