Stuck at VDC Oxnard
Our new M850i is stuck at VDC Oxnard waiting for a sensor and its been well over a week. Now days you can UPS a part anywhere in a day or two but they tell me there is no eta for the part to come in. Has anyone experienced this?

YES! My G29 waited for the RAM in Bremerhaven for 30 days prior to shipment and another 35 in the Port of Houston. This chip shortage is going to get worse as the months go on. I suggest you setlle in for a long wait.

Unfortunately you can't overnight a part that's not in stock. Everyone just has to understand, and accept, that in the throws of a world-wide pandemic things are delayed and moving slowly.

We are experiencing wait times for cars shipped without certain chip-containing components of a month, or longer. Not really much to do but Priority 1 (sold) cars at least get "priority" once the part becomes available.
Our M8 Competition finally arrived and is now in the showroom. Makes my 128i Msport look all that much more functional—and right-sized! |
