Ours is on a rolling stand as my wife moves it to her office on days she works from home and is printing a lot while I'm in m office on calls. One day she rolled it out the office and hit a snag, toppling the printer off its stand and onto the floor. Trays and access doors came flying off and open. Thought for sure it was a gonner. Nope. Put it all back together and it's been fine ever since. Amazing. |

Back when we were still going to the office we had an actual dedicated fax machine. Some of the "kids" at work (the mid-20s employees) were joking about how it frightened them as they legitimately had no idea how to use it our interact with it. Like it was ancient alien technology or something.

I'll bet the sound of a fax transmission made the kiddies shit their pants. I'm also willing to bet none of them have ever heard the sound of a dial-up modem. Kids are spoiled nowadays! |

The only thing worse than the screech of a dial up modem was the yelling of my step-dad when I'd pick up the phone, kick him off his dial up connection, and he'd lose his work. He'd get so pissed at me!

Pfffft remember those AOL free 100 hours or whatever it was CDs? I found out if you formatted the PC it would give you another 100 hours. Not sure how many times I wiped that shit cause my parents didn't want to pay for internet.

The thing with buying workgroup printers is knowing how many pages have been run through it and if the page count is high, when the last maintenance was done on it. |

My DW's home-made toilet paper dispenser could accommodate the large commercial TP rolls, but we really don't use enough to justify buying a case of the commercial stuff.....

Price Club (get off my lawn) used to sell "Internet in a box" for $100. Me and a buddy had access to TCP/IP stack for Windows, on a FLOPPY DISK (I said get off my lawn) so we offered to install, and them "tutor" them on browsing the internet on Netscape (you know the drill) for up to 2 hours. We were rolling in C-notes for a while!

I bought a Canon ,non laser model , probably the cheapest model in the market and much better performing than my previous HP printers .
