Best cloth for wiping off car wax?
Recommendation for a good cloth to wipe off wax? OK to use applicator sponge to apply wax that comes with McGuires wax?

As far as applicators are concerned, I have no issue using the foam ones typically supplied. Again, watch for dried buildup in the applicator. |

While there are specific cleaners for DA and rotary polishing pads that work well, I have had success just using Simple Green (other All Purpose Cleaners would probably work just as well). Spray on both sides of the applicator while it is still damp. Let sit for a few minutes, then squeeze briskly in a partial bucket of dilute SG until no more cloudiness comes out. Then rinse THOROUGHLY in clear, preferably running, water until you get no more suds. Let dry.
If that's too much trouble or you have water restrictions, just buy more pads and use a new one when needed. |
