The bar is high. M5's have always looked amazing. BMW's most recent track-record leaves a chasm to be desired.
it will be the worst looking M5 ever??? bold statement. Every year for me the design has gotten better and better. I dont see why this trend would stop?

what makes you come to this conclusion if you dont mind me asking

You could probably say that about the new M3, up until this current version

Well, it hasn't gotten better and better, it's actually always been good, with some fluctuation at the top with each generation.

The reason I say that is because nothing about BMW's current catalog inspires a modicum of confidence in it looking like an objectively good-looking BMW.

Will it be the fastest and best-performing M5 ever? Yes.

Yeah I definitely think you're right on that, good call. Maybe it was a GT4 RS ahead?

I see where you are coming from. I think design all speculative anyways was just curious to know how you came to that conclusion. All good brother, we can agree to disagree but nothing but love

Hey, I can admit it took me awhile to warm up to both the f10 and the g20/f90. It isn't necessarily an issue with the M5, more so everything else going on around it that worries me this time. The new M3, the 240i, the upcoming 7. They're just so insert insulting comment.

Try to find public reception to the preceding two generations of M3. They were highly positive. This generation?

If you live inside the EU zone this new M5 will have a mandatory speed limiter! Can you imagine this!
The speed limiter will be implement on all new car models in 6 July 2022 and on existing model it will be implemented 7 july 2024.

Glad i got my new M5 last year.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content...cars-from-2022

I already created a thread about this last year in the general automotive forum but it was deleted probably because it got a bit political. :

Long live the V8!!!

I was debating on going with another G80 but x-drive when this lease is over but after finding this thread, although late, i definitely want to get into that M5 once this lease is over.

There was never any serious talk about and full EV M before the start of the next decade

The M3/4 will come first.

Horizontal grills are slowly making their way to all M models. Not sure they make sense on this cars grill shape. Seems like a forced change to differentiate true M models. Sad

It's not the final car they may be using regular 5 mirrors for disguise or they haven't finished developing the mirrors

Yeah my question is does the m3 go inline 6 hybrid? 4 popper hybrid? Full EV only? I think I'm not a buyer at 4 cylinder hybrid.

I really can't wait for this car.

As much as I love my F10, I'm ready to level up to an M5.

Lovely to finally see the M5 with wider rear arches. The F10 and F90 have always looked weird to me being wide only in the front.

I’d rather have EV and total silence than having a cheap sounding 4 cylinder.

Good! Looks like they're going to a more E60 M5 style mirror. This car looks very promising.

I hope it's a i6 hybrid, but the engine bay is cramped enough lol. And based on the new c63 news, a 4 banger hybrid seems more likely.

If so, they are VERY light.

There was talks of two different M variants of the M5, a pure EV and a gas hybrid model. Technically the EV version would be an i5 M and the gas model the "traditional" M5 nomenclature.
Better take some fuel. Or else.
