Agreed, plus it's less expensive than my second choice, Frozen pure grey, and easier to maintain. A part of me will have wished to stick with that matte color, but with a baby on the way it's hard to justify 2k+ for a paint job.

Nice! Your build is pretty much same as mine other than color and interior trim. I went with Portimao Blue and the Gloss Black. I honestly have no idea what week they assigned me, I just got the production # from them and have been tracking it from home. I noticed the other day it switched from production # to VIN and that it moved from scheduled to "in production".

Newbie posting. Ordered Sep 9th. Went Production Begins on Oct 14. 3rd factory order. Should be used it by now but still in status checking hell.

That's awesome! I'd be interested in hearing how long the whole process takes for you, including shipping from the West coast to Honolulu. Not sure if it's possible but I'm really hoping to take delivery before the end of the year.

Any idea why there was a delay with your order? You ordered before me, so I wonder why yours is being made after mine. Ashlyn at BMW told me to expect mine between mid December to mid January as long as there weren't any additional delays.

I know the website has been having issues lately, but I find it a bit funny that my X1 has reverted to "At the Port - Bon Voyage!" status two days after it arrived in New Jersey.

Looks like we are both dealing with the same issue. Mine went to Quality Check on 9/21 and has not moved since. BMW Genius has no clue why. I do know it shows one Technical enhancement open still but not sure why it does not at least move out of Germany since it looks like it is just a software update that newer builds already seem to have.

It may be weird, but that's normal for the BMW tracker. The status will revert to show At the Port once it arrived at the Port of Entry and is scanned in at the VPC.

Mine just entered the paint booth today! Dealer said that provided there are no issues with shipping, I should have it before the middle of December. She said it normally takes a month to ship from Germany to Honolulu.
