Hilton Grand Vacations, vegas
So F1 is coming to Vegas in 2023. Based on track layout I think that the Elara would have the best views. Looks like it's some kind of timeshare place though.
Can someone explain this to me? Or if someone is a Hilton member explain how that works and how you like it? |

Personally, I would NEVER stay outside the main strip hotels in Vegas....I get you're looking for location but I'm big on glitter and shiny things and the non-casinos just dont do it for me.
Sorry, I know that doesnt help |

So you are correct, it is attached to the strip...kind of. On my diagram Highway 15 is the main Highway but the white road to the right is "The Strip" The green drawn in lines is basically the end of the strip (other than old Vegas) not in the map and not where you would want to stay IMO.
Elara is circled, and the walk to the strip from there is probably 3-4 city blocks or more. If it is attached to the Hard Rock you're not walking to the strip. Vegas is incredibly deceptive for walkable distances. To walk the strip from green line to green line would probably take you about an hour and a half or two depending on stops and how many "card flickers" stop you My meaning wasnt to knock the Elara but all the action is on The Strip. Thats all the casinos and fine dining etc. Now locals will tell you otherwise I'm sure but if you're going for the Vegas experience 99% of it will be spent on the strip. Not sure of the price difference you're looking at but I have found Paris and NYNY are very reasonable and decent properties although on the older side both have been renovated. If money isnt an option, my vote is always going to be Venettian. MGM is always hot but the new resorts getting all the trendy crowd is Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara. This is called city center. Ask away if you have any other questions |

I am a Hilton member and can book rooms there, seems a regular Hilton to me but maybe some rooms are carved out as condo or private residences that can be booked.

Have stayed there before (back when the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight was on). Was a number of years ago, so keep that in mind. It is off the strip, but it's an easy walk to the strip, rooms were very nice - we had one of the corner suites.
They tried to get us to go to some timeshare session which we just kept dodging. I wouldn't worry about the timeshare thing too much. Cheers, Matt |

So looking more,,, got my email for pre-registration for tickets, and bought in.
The Signature, https://www.luxurysuitesintl.com/lsi...signature.html Looks to be a better vantage ... balconies and the race goes right in front of you. There's no set dates yet and I can't book o a room over a year in advance (I tried, LOL); get in before they jack prices up or they sell out. |

Best value play in town - the BBQ joint at Ellis Island. Incredible food for dirt cheap.

Following this thread mainly because I've also pre-registered for the F1 GP in Vegas November '23.

Even tables at clubs were 6 figures on raceday. F1 is getting big in the US - which I'm pretty hyped about and we'll probably see an American driver in F1 soon (Redbull is pushing Colton Herta right now) |

So I'm still looking at the LSI balcony things. Just picking random dates, looks like $219/night. Nothing in November has opened up for rent yet. Looks like they are only booking out 10 months in advance.

So for anyone curious,
Not sure how many tickets they had available, but sold out in about 15 minutes. Also the hotel opened booking, $1,300/night minimum 3 nights. So I'm not going to see F1. That is just absurd money. Last edited by iminhell1; 11-03-2022 at 01:54 PM.. |
