Wife's Perspective of an M8C
It's nice, but not as nice as my Mercedes (GLE 53 Coupe) interior. It just seems really basic to me. It's not really comfortable. Can we take my car today instead? It's just a lot more comfortable driving around town. It's nice, but doesn't feel like a 167K car. I don't like the tech and menu of the infotainment system.
Haha. I stil love my car. It's definitely not the right vehicle for many people. |

It def feels like a very expensive car to me... it's just stiff and rough as it is an M car so it may no translate that way to me.
As far as Idrive vs the Benz infotainment... lol... i'd prefer to use my phone than use the Mbenz one, they definitely know how to make things complicated.

My wife absolutely loves the M8C. But when I suggest we replace the X7 with one, she says no.

My wife will not drive the M5 as she says its hard to drive. She also did not like the X5 when we were replacing her Audi last year. She drove a few levels of the X5 and did not like any of them. She then test drove an 2022 X3 3.0 xdrive (no m package or anything) and fell in love. Saved me 10's of thousands and she loves it because "She picked it out". Fine with me.

Cars we like or we don’t are very personal thing. Everyone is different and that is why we have so many options to choose from. We have 4 and each one is completely different from one another. We enjoy every single one. We are not suv people. I like the car if it does something well. Our 420SEL is slow but ultra quiet and comfortable. Our Z4 roadster is older but we love in-line 6 from that era and manual transmission. M5 is super fast comfortable enough with great tech. Our AMG wagon has N/A 6.2 that goes quick with some of the most amazing soundtracks and throttle reaction. Each is great and each is different and appt for something else. One car doesn’t do it all equally well. It will always be a compromise. It’s up to a person to decide what’s the most important. Unless budget is not limited

The funny thing is, my wife really doesn’t care that much about luxurious things. I’m the one who likes to finer things in life! She wanted to keep her Jeep. I’m the one who sold it haha. |
