The BMW Z8

Is still THE MOST beautiful BMW ever. It's gorgeous and I find myself imagining driving it with the wifey in Malibu and cruising. It's just something we will NEVER see again. It's a gorgeous cruising car (my z4 is a pure sports car in comparison), and it's meant for cruising on sunny days in the most beautiful roads and areas (Malibu, Southern Florida, Southern France or Spain, Italy, etc)

Definitely want one.

Agreed. I was offered one for around $50k when they’d just come out, as a friend had one but needed to sell it quick. Worst decision I’ve ever made. They’re going for crazy money now.

There's the rub.

My one nitpick with the Z8 is the centrally-located instrumentation, which should be in front of the driver for practical reasons. On the other hand, the interiors are just as gorgeous as the exteriors.

The Z8 is a BMW icon.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with DavesZupra4 on something
But yes, it is also my dream car.
Regardless of any of the criticisms that are levelled against it, in my mind it is an essentially perfect all round sports car in beauty and performance.

I am in the minority, the exterior lines on Z8 are nothing that special or unique. Better but similar lines to a MG. I prefer the Z4M Coupe.

I do like the simplicity of the interior, without all the screens and such. Beautiful car.

Me too. I always thought the Z8's looks were okay but nothing spectacular. I assumed it was because the Z8 was one of those cars you had to see in person to appreciate. Then I saw one in person, studied it for quite a while. I'm still not wowed. Looks like a German XKE, gussied up with faux period interior doodads.

Give me its ancestral link any day.
