I bought mine, it's not leased, but I don't plan on keeping it for a long time, as nice as it is. Also, I purchased additional warranty coverage through my dealer that covers any paint damage that needs to be repaired, so for me the cost of PPF just didn't make sense.

Definitely a great investment for a vehicle purchased outright.

The good ceramic coatings are amazing.
These guys make an awesome product that you can apply yourself as long as you are careful and take your time. Much cheaper than PPF and provides good protection and shine. www.3DProducts.com Ceramic with Graphene is the newest product they make. A walkthrough and some great pics on a c7 z06. I can also attest this stuff will last atleast a year. https://3dproducts.com/blogs/how-to-...14cf001617fbd4 |

Full PPF. Ceramic on wheels and brakes to make dust removal easier. 4 years in and Nardo looks brand new.

I picked up my car in November and took it straight to Ceramic Pro and had full front Kavaca PPF and ceramic on the rest. My local shop did such a nice job on the front end I decided to go back and do the rest, so now I have full PPF.

Our car is coming in 2 mos and we plan to only PPF the front part of the car and ceramic coat the entire car. In my area, to do the whole car is UBER expensive.

I thought about PPF, but the time/ cost put me off, so just went full ceramic. Which looks great, but does fuck all to protect the car from stone chips, which I’ve already got a few of. The paint on these cars is bloody soft.

I do full PPF on my BMW's, but I never do the ceramic. I just think the ceramic is a waste of money since you already have a ClearCoat layer under the PPF. The PPF definitely helps in regards to rock chips and protects the paint very well. Plus, it helps get the dirt off when washing.

No PPF for me. Just good ceramic coating applied annually. May be overkill but I get a lot of joy in doing it myself. I personally can’t justify the cost of full PPF. Maybe if I got a 2-300k car I suppose I would. My m5 is the grocery getter though, some rock chips here and there gives it personality. Plan on keeping it a long long time 😁

People who compare their paint clear coat to a professional ceramic coating always give me a good chuckle and prove they’ve never had it or never wash their own car.
It’s a game changer that ppf DOESNT come close to replicating. Even the ones with a tiny bit applied to the ppf which doesn’t last. Ppf is for scratches and rock chips and paint etching from Mother Nature. Ceramic is for shine, slickness, water/dirt/road grime/bird shit repellent. Also makes a dirty car come quite clean after a simple rain storm. On top of that add a drying aide and your towel will fall right off the bitch. Oh and graphene is snake oil for paint coatings. Plenty of YouTube videos showing the proof.

I do ceramic coating on all of my cars and wouldn’t be without it. SO much easier to keep clean and I have Black! I did get a quote for Stealth PPF for $5.5k and was told not to waste money by having them ceramic coat it too. Another shop quoted me $10k and told me absolutely I need to get coated on top of it for an additional $1k. Things that make you go hmm. . .

Seems okay, usually a full frontal Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF is almost $2k, and full ceramic depends on the product and don't believe the BS about 5-10 years of durability, it will require upkeep etc and what are they doing to prep the body before app is even more important. Definitely still apply a ceramic coating on top of the PPF too.

Depends on the ceramic coating. The Modesta coating on my Mercedes is 7 years old and still beads like new.

I did the full front clip, mirrors included. I use my M5 on rallies, and cars without PPF take a huge beating. Best investment if you want to keep it clean up front. Even on highways out in CA, so many pebbles and rocks on the road... Protective Film Solutions is my go to.
