Using the My BMW app or the Driver's Guide app when I try and login it just goes into an infinite wait loop and nothing ever happens. When I visit the website on my computer and login, I see my account, my profile, my car, everything. But on either of the apps, it's to infinity and not beyond.

Here's what happens if I click the Registration link; the website behaves itself and let's me go through another registration if I want; the site is responding just fine.



But if I try and login rather than register, it goes to the infinite wait page and never comes back despite my login details being good. Wondering if anyone else had this and managed to get past it. I reported it to BMW via the contact link but nothing happened.

That’s odd for sure. I’m running the app on a Samsung S22 with Android 13, no issues.

Mines working fine. Try clearing the cache of the app and try again?

Yeah I'd tried clearing cache on both the apps (mybmw and driver's guide), no help. I'm also running Android 13, on a Pixel 6 Pro. I've tried emailing the support link again to ask them to delete my profiles. I'll give it one more go, creating a new one and then give up

I found out what the problem was. I used Microsoft Edge as my default browser on my computer and on my Android phone. The app login page uses your default browser to login and it doesn't like Edge. It gets into some kind of infinite wait login page situation. As soon as I set Chrome to be my default browser on my phone to Chrome everything worked just fine. I tried using Chrome on my computer and got through just fine too, whereas Edge also had the infinite wait login page. I don't mind Chrome being my default phone browser as long as I can still use edge for my main browsing that's fine.
