Headlight Recall
Anyone know about this?
My BMW page finally said that the airbag recall remedy is available, so I called the dealer to make an appointment. SA told me that they are showing a headlight recall as well, but that's not showing in My Garage. Service write up calls it: B630623 Service Action: Headlamp (HL) Gap Word "gap" is making me think they need to adjust the lights? Last edited by tex2670; 05-19-2023 at 10:54 AM.. |

Yeah I've read that - outside of that not seen anything else mentioned. Post back if they share details. The other issue was a software fix so no idea what the US light fix might be. Could be just a check they are set right?!?!

Its actually the gap around the headlight which apparently is to narrow and could cause the paint to rub off, mine is on the recall as well.
10.05.2023 0063880100 : Checking the Gap Dimension of the Front Light Combination, and Adjust if Necessary u11 Dear Sir or Madam, BMW AG have initiated a Technical Campaign for affected U11 series vehicles due to a possible alignment issue with the front light combination units, contact can occur between the lamp assembly and the front wing/side panel. Over a period, corrosion may occur if the paintwork is damaged, |

assuming it's the same headlight gap recall, someone had the recall done and the gap became very large https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...94&postcount=4 |

I always keep my boots in my trunk.... so if I'm in the UK, do I say that I have my boots in the boot?
speaking of boots... my cat's name is Moggy... which makes no sense if we live in England? (Moggy is a cat... it will be like naming him "Cat"?) Should have named him "Boots" because when he was a couple of months old, he somehow managed to crawl into my boot and slept inside.(which was terribly scary because I once tried to put on the boots without realizing that he was inside) |

Also yes, 'moggy' is a slang word for a cat, normally used for a cat that is equivalent to a 'mutt' type of dog (non-pedigree). Love your story about your cat crawling into a boot. Cats seem to like crawling into impossibly small places. |
