I don't know what to title this request for money to save a puppy
My wifes best friend from High School took in a 3rd Chocolate Lab and here is the story.
I dont ever share these GoFundMe things but this poor little adorable pup hasn't even had a chance to live yet. I know most of the people on this page are fun loving good hearted people and if you feel so inclined to help with $5 or anything Pete, his wife and their kids would greatly appreciate it. They are up to $35k trying to save this lil cutie.....I feel horrible asking strangers but its a defenseless animal that can't ask anyone for help!!! https://gofund.me/4446927a #MiracleMusi as he’s become known, is our 6 month Chocolate Lab puppy. We brought him home two months ago to help spread some pawsitivity while momager goes through her own health crisis. March 20, Musi went to his regular vet for a well-puppy visit and vaccine boosters. By March 23, he was having emergency surgery at the ER vet for a septic gallbladder and pyloric stenosis. His chances of survival were 30%. It was touch and go for many days, but Musi bounced back. On March 30, we brought our puppy home to be reunited with his brothers. The vomiting continued… he’s lost almost 9 pounds on his little body since this all started. April 3 we were back at the ER vet. The next day he was transferred to a more intensive hospital with specialists & internists. After more diagnostics … Musi needs another surgery. The internists believe he either has another perforation, or the beginnings of one. All of this is congenital. He was born with it and there’s no way we could have known. We were adamant we would never start a GoFundMe. Musi is our dog and our responsibility. However, the Labrador community online has been a beacon of support for us. It’s at their urging we write this. We didn’t realize so many people felt just as helpless as we do while fighting to save our puppy. Musi is the sweetest little guy. Everyone falls in love with him the moment they meet him. We thank you for your love, support, and guidance. Coco sends get well vibes!
Coco is a rescue, pure breed but note the scars on her forepaws. We are her third home, and have been for 8 years now. We were told the scars, which won’t grow hair, are the result of the umbilical cord being wrapped around the paws. Some vets agree, some say she was abused. We prefer to believe the umbilical story. She is a good dog, after a rough start. Hope your friend’s doggo has as good a life as Coco. |

Last news I got:
Thank you all for the nice words and any help. Neither of us is ready to breathe a sigh of relief yet. No vomiting ✔️eating like a champ ✔️ staying hydrated ✔️ keeping meds down ✔️ For now we’re playing the waiting game. Wait & see if Musi recovers. Wait & see if we’re taking more trips to the hospital. Wait & see what the cultures and biopsy show. Wait & see. |
