we all know the iphone 3g has to be activated in store upon purchase and the actual phone costs $200 (8GB) and $300 (16GB). from the looks of it (even though the phone is very new) it looks like there will be no possible way to just buy the phone for $200/$300. so i believe this is the cheapest way to get the phone. if anyone got any other suggestions, please do tell.

PS: do you have to stick with the att plan for a min of a month, and if not you have to return the phone? but isn't the phone already yours considering you paid the $200/300 for it?
