m35i vs 28i transmission

Does anyone know if the m35 transmission software has the same pause? I tried another 28i my dealer got and it’s still present.

Literally can slap the accelerator and it almost feels like the turbo is spoiling with a lunge.

Imagine if the m35 solves this problem? Curious to know if anyone has driven it. Are any produced?

if you are going to spring for the M35, shouldn't you be driving in Sport Mode all the time?

What kind of logic is that? G80 owners aren't in Sport Plus all the time, flooring it at every stop light. That's the point of modes.

Has anyone actually taken delivery of a 35i yet?

I had an M135i (F40) which I understand has the same engine. It did have the Aisin (ie non-DCT) gearbox - I am not sure which gearbox the X1 35 will have. My M135 had exactly the same issue of the annoying pause, but it was less frequent than the X1 and easier to drive around.

The transmission is exactly the same, will the software be different or does it even come with MHT maybe in all markets, mmmm now that’s an interesting one. That seems to help a lot in the markets that have it, the 28i doesn’t but the 23i does…

I drive thee 2019 version. I am almost exclusively in sport mode. No, I don't race off stop lights all the time. I like the better handling feel and it does pretty much solve any throttle lag issues. But most importantly it is fun for me and we don't buy these cars without knowing we have wrapped up some of our entertainment dollars (or pounds etc.) in the car.

Enjoy what you drive, life is too short

The DCT has a delay at a stop or in traffic that makes it’s impossible to smoothly launch. It’s more of a lurch and speed up instead of instant torque.

Makes the case for the ix1 if it ever landed in the USA.
