Suggestions on repairs
Hey, not sure if this is the right section this belongs in. But, Ive been driving my sisters IS 250 for the past few weeks, and had a minor car accident today. Basically there was a rolled up carpet with tubing lying on the freeway and I ran it over at around 70 mph.
The damage: broken front bumper, wiper fluid is leaking, some wiring tore apart (most likely the wire connecting to the wiper fluid and the wire for the foglight), and side skirt is damaged. I probably want to get the bumper and side skirt replaced, as well as those wirings and fix the box that holds the wiper fuild. Can anyone suggest whether I should take the car to Lexus or an auto body shop? I tried looking online for the bumper and sideskirt. I found the bumper, but could not find the side skirt. I would appreciate it if anyone knows a good site to start my search. I am going to go get the quotes on how much they cost tommorow, so I'll post those up as well. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for the help. |

Go to the local lexus dealer and see who they outsource their work to. go to that body shop and check out the quality of work and then make your decision from there...i'm assuming you are going to make an insurance claim?

do you think I should make an insurance claim? As of now, I don't plan to make any insurance claim. I've been told that the rise in my insurance price will probably be greater than the costs of repairing it myself. But, thats only what I was told.
