When you get used to the keyboard (which only takes a week or two to really get used to it, even a day or two and you'll be good), you'll definitely type faster on the iPhone. I've owned them all. I was a doubter of the iPhone keyboard, now I have one and realized I was talking out of my ass before.

ive owned a BB for the past 7 yrs...4 different versions....currently own the curve...dont think my company will upgrade me to the bold just yet.....i have had the Itouch for a year now and the Iphone for a month.....as far as typing....no contest (if there is one)...typing is WAY easier and MUCH faster on the blackberry...this shouldnt be debatable.....on the other hand...who gives a shit really.....audi vs bmw..... crest vs colgate....coke vs pepsi...... prada vs versace......its all personal preference!

LOL! yeah personally i can't wait until the new bold because im going to go check it out (i have the curve right now) and simply if i have as many problems as I do right now with my curve (bbm quits, deletes all my calls and texts randomly, very laggy and slow) then im going to go with an iphone.

let's see if rim has fixed these problems in the new bold... hopefully!

Any idea when the Blackberry Bold is to be released? I've read that it may be mid-Aug for AT&T, but not until January for the other cell providers.

I think that AT&T is dropping the boat on iPhone international 3G usage with no unlimited data plans or tethering.

Ideal plan for business usage would be:
1) 3G everywhere it is possible
2) unlimited data plan option
3) tethering option

I also hear that Apple may not allow the Slingbox client to work on an iPhone. Booooh. But hey - there are no ulimited international data plans so what the heck...

"The delay in Blackberry bold release has gone further with the new dates announced and all the network providers have delayed the release, through Rogers have managed to get it to the end of July.
It was going to be released in mid-august with AT&T but they have now changed the date to September 1st or later.

Here are the dates that are the expected ones as of now -
July 29 - Rogers
August 1 - Vodafone UK
August 4 - T-Mobile Germany
September 1 or later - AT&T
In September - O2

This seems funny when one of the commentators in the black berry news blog, said that AT&T were still going to stretch to end of September or August! Why not go for Christmas day for the release when you are already delaying to such late time?"

Same shit different package. I'd be surprised if it will have anything new, beside 3G and a spiffy new home screen theme

Plus $300 price tag for a phone without a memory card and shitty camera. So by the time you get 8gb micro-sd (dont see any 16Gb ones being available) plus taxes it will cost you $400+.

So whatever you are saving over iPhone in data/voice rates, you will have to shell out up front.
