New Q5 270 HP

Sounds like Audi has decided to use a 3.2 V6 version here in the US which will be on sale Q1 09. 270 HP, 243 TQ. 0-60 6.8. Numbers sound pretty good. Price is not yet announced. How do you guys think it will do?

This version is still slower than the 3.0TDi being offered in the UK.

I think you will see the 2.0TSi in the Q5 before it's first year is done.

Erm, leftlane news is reporting that the car will only be available with a tuned version of the 2.0 TFSI engine, I have no idea why its saying something different but here is the article.

How much will it weigh? I'm wondering how it'll compete with the N54-equipped next-gen X3, assuming that it gets the N54 (don't see why it wouldn't).

Garage List
Depending on the model you pick 1730Kg (2.0TDi) ~ 1865Kg (3.0TDi). Unless the 2.0TFSi comes with a 6sp maunal I would reckon the TDi is the lightest.

X3 2.0d S/E = 1825Kg and the 3.0d = 1885Kg

What kinda gas mileage will it get? That will determine how it will do.
If it gets below 20, it will not sell.
If it gets between 20 and 24 it will sell ok
if it gets between 24 and 26 it i will sell well
if it gets between 26 and 30, they will not be able to keep it in stock

Nevermind, i just noticed the engines output and realized that this is not a TDI. Its not going to get above 24mpg.

Very good points. But fuel prices are decreasing!

Looks boring. God knows how much blander it would've been without the headlight detail.
