Creaking driver's window headliner?
On random occasions, the plastic trim on the inside of the driver's side window creaks when going over bumpy roads (not potholes and uneven terrain, but more poorly paved streets). It's not the window or the rubbering because it doesn't go away when I shove something there or press against the glass or rubber, but the more inner plastic trim. It only goes away temporarily if I press up really hard on the plastic trim.
Anyone else experience this or have a solution? |

not if this is the one you're referring to...
but on my X1, the black plastic strip(see pic below, pointed by the red arrow) makes creaking sound whenever the weather is very hot or very cold.... |

Hello and happy new year everyone! I finally found some time to deal with it and judging by the results I successfully pinpointed what was causing the squeakiness.
I applied some WD-40 Specialist Silicon spray on a small painting brush and only applied once on the connection between the rubber and the door pillar as shown with green color in the next photo. I've been trying to hear squeaks all week, but all I heard was silence! Hope it helps! |

Alternatively, your dealer can investigate/fix for you if you're under warranty, which I expect you are

Can you mark on a photo where you applied the WD40? Not sure I know exactly where you mean.
