That's the same one announced by the NHSTA.

Indeed, it is. And it appeared for the first time on bmwusa.com, but not in my phone app.

After reading that with my wife, we both said we'd experienced the same sensation. You get that sensation that the car is running away from you.

I thought maybe I'd fat footed the brake and clipped the accelerator!

Will see if it's gone away.

Soon after we got our X1 a year ago I posted on here if anyone had experienced a sound or a feeling of the breaks slipping when slowing down. Your description is pretty much exactly what I was trying to explain at the time.

I brought mine in for service recently for something else and they told me they didn't have the parts to be able to perform the recall. I hope they can do it asap.

I'm happy it wasn't my imagination since it's been happening this whole time and I figured it was just a shitty design flaw. :-)

My X1 from January 2023 is on this program. I just called to my service and they don't have all the necessary parts yet. They think these will be available next week. Service time is approximately 2 business days for Electrical Break System - 0034670200

Went to my dealer today, wanted to book an appointment to fix this. The parts aren’t currently available but was told they will call me once the parts arrive. Service time is up to two days.
