X1 M35i Towing Capacity

I'm looking to know if anyone knows the Towing Capacity of the 2024 X1 M35i.

The xDrive model can be configured with a hitch, and shows 3500 lbs, but the M35i can't be configured with a hitch (will need to install one by a 3rd party), so the towing capacity is not shown anywhere.

Would it make sense for the M35i to have the same capacity has the xDrive version?

Often the suspension specification is a limiting factor with towing, so you cannot extrapolate from one car to another.

If the car is not rated and you tow anyway, you may also face liability insurance issues. Check with your company as they might differ by state.

If you install a non-OEM hitch, and the manufacturer can trace an inssue to the hitch or towing, you might face warranty issues.

If your towing rig exceeds the GVWR of the vehicle, you are in an illegal situation.
