BMW iX1 xDrive 30 M Sport - Lead time / Lies
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone had the same issues as I'm having? I placed the order for my BMW iX1 xDrive 30 M Sport with my local BMW dealer back at the start of November 2023. I was told that I would expect it hopefully mid Jan (I knew that would probably be BS). Every month the date gets pushed back to the point now I'm being told that it could be April / May but they still cannot give me a straight answer. I have rang a few other BMW dealers to see if they have anything to the same spec as mine available straight away - there are a few options but with the price increases at the start of the year, I am reluctant to jump ship. What is annoying me now is that the salesperson I am dealing with has text me to say that my car has been allocated a chassis number but still not gone down to build as of yet. This seems strange to me? I have ask them to send me the Chassis no. as I have downloaded the "MyBMW" (as I've been informed I can check the spec etc to make sure everything is how it should be). BMW are reluctant to send me it - I have asked for 3 times and their answer - you don't need it until you receive the car? Something doesn't seem right to me... |

Interesting, I just signed up for a plug in hybrid 30e MSport with the same dealer network as you but slightly further North and I was told they had a build allocation for May delivery, again I’m sceptical that this will happen!

Have you tried the BMW stock locator to see if there are any that meet your spec.
There seems to be quite a few iX1 20 m sports and a few 30 m sports. Try ringing customer services re the chassis number and tell them what the dealer has said Last edited by Tunners; 03-19-2024 at 10:56 AM.. Reason: Add comment |

If you have the BMW factory order No. not the dealers No. they you can go straight to the chat function of the BMW Genius on the website.
its super easy to do that and they will give you the ETA that the car has and where its up to and its 'fairly' accurate. They won't give you the VIN thought the dealer can do that when the car is built normally or being ready to go into production so should be close. |

“You don’t need it until you receive the car”. This is none of their business as to why you want it. If you want it, then they should give it to you. |

What's the delivery date and the conditions on the contract? Can you go elsewhere or you think the price you will pay is too good to move?
