Noise from lift/tailgate?
Is anyone else having a noise or vibration from what seems to be a misaligned tailgate?
Mine is a 2023 X5 45e ....one of the first 2023's off the line in August of 2022. (Still loving the hybrid aspect....drove 80% on electric in 2023 including road trips over summer.) |

We have had some folks that needed to have the motor/struts, etc. replaced. Take it in and have the dealer fix it. Good luck and let us know what it turned out to be.

The other day I noticed some rattling going on in the back, seemed like the rear right side almost. Usually I never notice it because I usually have music playing while Im driving but the other day I was driving in silence and heard that noise. I wondered what it could be but now after seeing this post Im thinking that could be whats causing it.

There’s a storage area in the rear left, and something in there could make noise along with stuff that might be underneath in the floor compartment…make sure there’s nothing there that’s loose that isn’t properly latched down.
The rubber bumpers I think can be adjusted in./out to ensure when things are closed, they’re under slight tension as the rubber compresses…a slight tweak on that might make a difference, but while under warranty, if it isn’t something loose in a storage compartment, best to let the dealer handle it. |
