By concept, I mean designs of cars that were never meant for production build. The G29 concept for the Z4, we knew was coming. I was referring to things like the Z4 Touring Coupe where it was nothing more than a tease - we could technically make it, but we don’t want to because of x, y, z.

I wonder if this could be the i16, which was the i8-follow up/M1 homage that was almost fully developed, but got canceled during the pandemic and replaced with the xM, because apparently BMW thought the xM was the "safer" option.
The i16 was apparently going to have a mid-engined S58 with a hybrid system. That actually sounds like it would have been really, really cool. I've no idea why BMW thought the xM, a $180k SUV that should've just been called the X7M, was a safer option than the i16. |
