Anyone considering RS-5 Wagon?
I know the wagons are either loved or hated. I’ve been thinking of grabbing a low mileage RS-6 but I also might have interest in the M-5 touring or maybe wait for the 5 wagon from Audi. I feel the Audi will be WAY sexier than the Beemer!! Both will be hybrid and I don’t care if the BMW is faster. I’ve always wanted one of these things and it seems like now is the time to pick something.

I had a 2023 RS6 for a few months and sold it for my 2024 M3 Competition XDrive because I didn’t think the RS6 was worth the money. Great looking car, very practical and comfortable, sounds great, great sound system, but the performance was kind of boring honestly… didn’t feel like 590hp… likely due to it being so heavy (~5000lbs!).
I’m legitimately happier in my M3 for a lot less $$ and I actually considered myself to be more of an Audi guy before switching to the G80. I had a 2019 RS5 Sportback for four years and the 2023 RS6 for a few months before ordering the 2024 M3. I’ve had the M3 for four months and still loving it… I think it will be around for several years. If your heart is set on the RS6, I would recommend the 2024 Performance model since it has more HP, less weight, and a more aggressive exhaust note. If I had bought a 2024 performance I may have kept it longer as it addressed several of my complaints with the 2021-2023 models. |

Wagon in my fleet. I have a couple of fast cars already so I’m looking to just have something diffent. Lower it/22” wheels and just cruise. Look like a steamroller coming at you. That’s what I’m picturing:-) I’ve had every year M3/4 since E body. I love my F-82 and can see myself in an X-Drive at some point down the road. Just looking for a change possibly |

The A4/S4(RS4 if there is one) will be all EV. The new B10 A5/S5/RS5 will be a hybrid and will come in Sportback and wagon for the A5/S5 but a wagon for the RS5.

I can deal with a hybrid as long as the main power plant is a good ICE engine connected to an actual sporty transmission. I see electrified assistance no different from turbos or superchargers.
