is there no way for Google Maps to show up in the left screen(behind steering wheel)?

only the BMW factory nav and Apple Maps seem to be able to display this.

I only have iPhones that connect via CarPlay.

If I use Android phones(such as Pixel or Samsung) via Android Auto Play, will Google Maps show up on the left screen?

It has been already discussed.
Apparently Android auto sonly display Google maps on cluster/Hud
Apple Car play only displays Apple maps.o. cluster hud.
Discussion was at id8 times, so id9 cars may be different (but it seems limitation is imposed at source: phone, and Android auto/Car play new releases might remove limitation, although I have low expectations on that happening)

Yes, it works like that in everything car no matter what which we were talking about.

As said in the previous post, google only allows the usage of the google maps when you are using AA and Apple does the same but with Apple Maps and CP.

but I've started using Google Maps on my iPhone using CarPlay on my X1. (although it only displays the map on the main screen)
