X1 standard seats

I just purchased a new X1 xDrive28i with the standard seats in oyster leatherette. While generally happy with the vehicle other than persistent iDrive glitches, I made a major mistake in not specifying the sport seats for the additional under thigh support adjustment. I've read a few forums with others complaining about the sport seats being too confining; if any of you would like to trade and you have oyster leatherette, please let me know!

I am 6'3" and my wife 5'11" and I am astonished how short the standard seat cushions are. I would also have ordered lumbar support even though I have never felt the need to order it on other cars I've driven. The standard backrests lack support. In general, disappointed in the seats and wish I would have paid more attention to this on the short test drive -- I trusted that any seats from BMW would meet a minimum standard for comfort and support.

I hear you. I had sport seats in my last BMW, and when the dealer gave me an F48 X1 loaner with standard seats, I vowed I would never get them.

I’m 6’5” and the seats I got are super comfortable. Does yours have the part that extends under your thighs?

I have sports seats & they feel fine. The manual thigh support extensions do help with long legs. Neither I or my wife are heavy so the high side supports are not an issue for us but I could see them being a problem for some passengers.

All in all, I’m glad I paid extra for the sports seats.

Base seats don't have thigh extension; only sport seats.

I'm 98 lbs 5'2" and I need sport seats in order to stay in place, kind of like a car seat for a baby bc I don't have much strength. I have lupus and the leg extensions take a lot of stress off my knees on lengthy drives

today I noticed my sport seats massage... I never knew this was a feature in the X1????

Massage function was an option & additional cost as was lumbar support.

Yes- sports seats were $400 when ordering the 2024 x1 28i in October 2023

I j checked my window sticker and compared it to my screenshot of features for my car when I made it in the builder- looks like my salesman added it by mistake

the car can massage your back but iDrive 9 continues to be unstable

If it was added it was at a cost. Hopefully they did not charge you for their error even if you like it. I don’t remember the price because I did not get massage function
