I tracked down the permissions section on MYBMW and it said this: Requested Access Permissions- No BMW CarData access permissions found.
Does that mean I'm good to go? |

Same. I’m honestly not sure. I thought mine might because I currently live in the UK with my car so some of my connected services and my eSIM aren’t active until I move back to the US with the car.

Think so. I perused the fine print of the user agreement, which includes language to the effect of: you must expressly provide permission for each and every data release to a third party.

Don’t worry. If you’re opting out of your car data, then Apple or Android are selling it and know exactly how fast you are moving, accelerating or braking just from your phone. Ha.

That's the first thing I turned off before I even drove off the dealership.

Checked on MyBMW - best done directly on the web, but you can access it through the phone app as it takes you to the web.
On the web: 1. Go to My Vehicles 2. View Vehicle Profile 3. Select Car Data from the drop down menu top right You will find everything there. Under ‘Manage access permissions’ mine said “No BMW CarData access permissions found.” (Phew!!) Just a thought for those who are inadvertently sharing data (presumably not for a BMW), what happens if you track the vehicle?
