Where do they exist?


I am looking for features and releases of idrive version 9 operating system. I know there is a new over air coming very soon, but where is information on current and future releases? Seems like it should be documented somewhere but I cannot find it!

any one know why some of 2023 cars not get latest update ?
I have BMW X1 2023 SDrive 20i and latest update i got it is 07/2023.53
and still use idrive 8

and always I see in myBMW app the software is up to date

I see there 2 next update released after this version 07/2023.53 with others
11/2023 and 03/2024

I don’t believe the 2023 x1 or x2 with ID8 can ever be updated to ID9. They have different hardware. Maybe you’ll be updated to ID 8.5 at some point.

When I researched I see some of posts talk about old core for the idrive 8 is on Linux base
and new idrive cars versions on Android core so they can not update to the different OS

but how BMW in some cars not passed one year on it and they stopped support new OS versions for it, I dont believe this

They haven’t stopped support for idrive 8, those of us who have idrive 8 have received the updates, mine is currently 03/2024.40.

Not for all cars as i said there lot of cars not receiving this updates and latest update for my car was 07/2023 and still not received other update

They have not stopped support for it, though it likely has slowed down. You may not have received an update because your market does not need/support the new features, or it may not have been authorized for distribution yet.
