Setting intermediate stop in Nav

I tried today and it seemed a right mess on to input a stop, unless I’m doing something wrong.

I set my destination as my starting point and from there I’m unsure what I did. I think I touched the final destination and then added another which was where I wanted my intermediate stop to be.

Is this the correct way to do it as the manual is worse than useless for this function? It’s the plug in hybrid so trying to get it to use petrol/electric the most efficient way

I tend to do it via the app. I put in my home address then view route then add stop which I put in where I want to go, this will then show you the journey time, mileage, and route.

I’ll give that a try on my next journey as it sounds easier than doing it in the vehicle. I had a quick try in the app before my journey but couldn’t work out how to do it, now it’s clear!

If I stop for a couple of hours or even overnight, will the route auto resume in the car?

Yeah, doing it in the car seems more difficult.

You need to enter the final destination first.

After that any destination you add will be an intermediate stop.

Normally, if you stop in the middle of the planned route, the gps will ask if you want to continue the next time you start the car.

Adding this in the car is also quite easy:
- enter your final destination,
- then (without closing this route with X) use the search box to add another stop
- once an intermediate stop is added, there is an Edit button below it with which you can reorder the various points

POIs like Charging stations and other visible on the map have a quick Add button.

An update on this. With the app it is easy to set up the intermediate stops, but….

On the app initially there was a message on the app when I tried to send it to the car which as usual I didn’t read properly and dismissed it. I believe it told me multi stop is not yet supported from the app to id9 but it could be in a future update to either the app or the car.

In the meantime it seems the only way is on the car screen

Indeed, it will not plan the route with the stops. It does however add all of the stops to the list of destinations, making it a bit easier to create the route in the gps.
