I know a lot of car enthusiasts refer to it as a Stormtrooper look on white cars. But it also gives a more aggressive look to black cars. If I were going Space Silver, I would defo want maximum black trim. That said, I do also prefer the M Sport gloss black on our Portimau Blue, compared to chrome. Ok thanks for the all info everyone! Question, if I go black perforated interior- do you prefer "Black High Gloss" or "Aluminum Mesh Effect" for the Trim? I'm thinking Aluminum...
Also I realized I can't do the Shadowline trim as I'm not going M-Sport (since I don't like the sport seats.) So the grill will have to be Chrome. |

I'm not sure. But it seems if the configurator can't make it work, it can't happen in my experience.
My therapist this week suggested I might try a different color than silver since I've had a silver for 21 years lol and I want some change. Hmm. Right now I'm torn between the Cape York, Silver, and the Phytonic Blue is making it's way back to my eye too ugh. Too many choices. Also the Blue Bay Lagoon looks interesting - spotted it in the picture thread. I live in Los Angeles so it's sunny most of the time here. Wish I could figure out some way to eliminate a choice. I'm almost sold on the Cape York but i'm still about 20% hesitant and will mull this over for a few days more. |

Everywhere I go, people stop me, ask about the color, and express how much they like it. A lot of people even say things like, “I love that blue!” It’s fairly unusual and I’ve only seen one other X1 in this color (a dealer courtesy car). However, my wife HATES the color. She think it looks like sewage in a river. Don’t ask… Everyone has their own opinions, but it’s kind of hilarious that the one person who hates it actually lives with me!

AGREED. This time last year I was thinking of buying the 2023 x1 but decided it made economic sense to wait for the 2024 model because the dealers in my area were not giving higher discounts for the older/current models as compared to newer builds.
I ordered my 24’s the third week of October & I was able to pick it up at dealer around Christmas. |

After much deliberation and well months of thought, I pulled the plug and have ordered my new 2025 X1! I actually went with Phytonic Blue - deciding against the silver as I have driven a silver car for 21 years and wanted something different. Cape York is nice but decided on something darker. I saw a phytonic both in the showroom and in the sunlight and like it. I went for the Black Perforated interior - was also considering the Oyster but figured black would show less dirt and things. Went also with the Aluminum mesh effect for Trim - think that the Black High Gloss would be just too much black. And I went with the Premium package. Should be ready to pick up around December first.
I still have 2 weeks where I can make changes before it goes into production so just thought I would update the thread and see if anyone had any final input. |

I can see on the thread to show your cars: https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1980731 that BMW paints are chamaleonic depending of course on the sun light but also on the environment, here in San Luis Potosi (BMW produces the 3 Series) and I can see that greys look a bit brown or they tend to reflect that color (Brooklyn grey and specially Storm Bay looks very solid, but if you look at it on the thread, it just looks amazing, I imagine if you live with a greener landscape around you, Storm Bay and Cape York Green will look amazing). I chose Portimao Blue and that just looks incredible, it catches the attention everywhere. I'm also part of the few guys that prefer Mineral White instead of Alpine. Another thing I noticed, Space Silver looks different if you see it on an X-Line trim instead of M Sport, again, with X-Line it shows brown shades as it if was light smoke while on M Sport it looks like brushed aluminum (I'm not confusing it with Frozen Grey as my neighbor got his 4 Series on that color and for me it's easy to recognize it). Anyways, I hope you loved the color you chose! |

if not, there are hundreds of colors to choose from by doing a full wrap! I was waiting for my X1 to be tinted. Sat in the customer lounge and looked at the wrap color samples from 5 different manufacturers... there were at least 400 different colors! (although the prices are way too much for me, ranging from $4000 to $9000 or more)
