If I engage sport mode and kick down for full power, the car shifts gears above 4500 rpm. To avoid high revolutions, I manually change gears. I wonder if driving 2000 km on ICE is necessary to allow the car to shift gears freely.

I think it will be fine, just take it easy for a while and maintain battery on the odd few trips and it will break in nicely. When it comes down to it if there is a moment you need to floor it then the car will leap in regardless.

Hello guys, I bought my PHEV recently. Is there any way to use it only on gas mode? Or only on electric mode? And is there any way to use it on AWD mode? Does the car determines the mode? Thank you for your guidances.

You can set the car to maintain battery, the car will then on the Gas engine. You can set the car to run on electric via the app on the idrive, go to Vehicle then Driving Settings then Drivetrain and Chassis then Electric Driving.

the issue is that i only can see rpm when in sport mode, which brings me to a question... what is the meaning on Power% in the personal mode? is there any way to change that to RPM?

On my M Sport model I have the gauge display in RPM's in Personal Mode. Not sure if it's exclusive to the trim or if all trim levels can do it.

I have that option as well. Have you gone through all the settings in your gauge cluster using the controls on the steering wheel? You can adjust layout and content in many ways.

Loving this car, acceleration is superb and on a 240 mile trip yesterday I got 63mpg (UK gallons)
One thing I’ve noticed is when I charge it I get the ranges below: 100% charge - 45 miles 95% charge - 45 miles 80% charge - 45 miles Seems strange or am I missing something? |

Mine shows different a different range dependant on state of charge, odd that yours is showing the same range at the different amounts of charge
Perhaps a reset of the head unit might help or is it just another glitch in iD9. |

Thank you guys. As I have understood from your comments 20% 80% thresholds are not so necessary. But charging for small percentages without waiting it to deplete is good for battery health even you charge oftenly according to the satellite experience. Moreover it is good to make slow charging than rapid. I am sure all will appreciate if any comes across and shares more scientific studies about PHEV batteries.

As stated throughout the various threads the PHEV battery is not as prone to the degradation due to it being depleted more times than a full EV so you are using the full range of the battery rather than using the top 30 or 40% ie if you were full topping up a full EV every night.
I tend to vary the amount of charge. Sometimes I charge to 80% then maybe to 90% then when needed 100% if I am going any distance. |
