F33 idrive issue

Hi guys,
I recently got a f33 2017 440i.

I’ve been having some issue with the idrive system. I can’t seem to work with it. And it’s slow especially maps.
I can’t seem to select the different option for the dash like range, date, current consumptions and so on. I can see it in options and can’t tick it.

I tried soft resetting by holding power button for 30s. Still no result.

I do have the amplifier not working. I’m not sure if this is causing this issue. I got it from a dealership, they seem to think it’s cause of the amplifier unit?

Can I get some help if anyone knows? More to BMWs.

If the amplifier has a short or not working for any other reason, you could be experiencing these symptoms, because the MOST communication ring is broken. You either need a loop connector (in order to get the features back, without the amp working) or get a new amp.

I had similar issues when water got to my amp in the boot and fried it. I replaced the amp and all was working fine. Quite easy to physically replace the amp your self, but I found it tricky to find a used amp (and it will need coding as well).
