I’ve heard that many of those involved with February recall have to get it fixed again because those replacement parts were defective as well.

Yes, that’s what happened to my 2023 X1. Last August I had a Parking Brake malfunction caused by the Integrated Brake System. They did the recall fix middle of August, then two days later they told me that the brake booster part they used was also under recall. They finally fixed it a month later, middle of September, with the correct brake booster part.

In some way I feel lucky that I had the parking brake malfunction (which showed up when starting the car, not when driving, so not in a dangerous situation), and that they also did the wrong recall fix. I think that gave me priority for getting the correct recall fix: the whole process took just a little more than a month.

So just an update on my end. We are in the USA my wife put money down on a 2023 X1 which was on stop sale because of the recall. We just got the call today that it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. I had been checking the Vin with no updates so for anyone waiting there is hope! We put the money down about 2 weeks ago and were prepare to wait at least 2 months

The stop sale brake recall seems to be moving forward in the US. I am in the UK and put my deposit down 4 months ago. Rang my dealer today to be told that new cars are being shipped with the new parts fitted but they haven't received any for used cars yet. Who knows how much longer it will be. Wouldn't be so bad but I sold my Audi 2 weeks after putting down the deposit as wasn't told about the stop sale when putting down the deposit.
Looked at the Volvo XC40 as an alternative but the interior isn't up to much in my opinion. Maybe I will get it in time for Christmas.
