Weird that it still changes the language even after auto login… my only suspicion could be if you enter the car with both your phone AND your key at the same time. If you do this, do you have both your phone and key linked to the car? Maybe there’s some kind of conflict between the two “keys” (this is just a wild guess). Doing this resolved it for me. Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, then I suggest adding that to the car as well, just in case the watch is able to communicate with the car before the physical key or the phone via proximity.

As for the shortcut to change the language, yes there is! If you go to main “system settings” (einstellungen) then scroll down to the language button, and tap and hold that button, without actually entering in the language menu.

I have charged it twice with a fully automatic agm charger and a full day with a float charger. Both at the under hood terminals.

I also drove it 72 miles.

What a love hate relationship. The ASS isn't a problem. The tran is good for me except uplifting in sport where I fight the tran to keep rpm below 3000. This is my second DCT tran car so I expect abrupt uplifts.

The torque steer should have been designed out of this car. 1988 Taurus SHO no ts. 2015 AMG GLA 45 no ts.

AWD doesn't kick in fast enough to prevent ts.

Cheapening the inside of the car doesn't bother me but ID9 is something else. My other car 2021 MS Plaid isn't perfect but is a decade ahead of BMW.

Just my thoughts and frustrations. Be gentle.

Figured out the problem with the software refusal to download. I drove 10 miles without a radar detector and when I got home the car allowed the software download. Although the detector doesn't draw much the car seems to be sensitive to the load and refuses the update.
