Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket or original iconic kidney for our X1 U11?
And has anyone installed one?

I think the functionality of the oem grills will negate any aftermarket options becoming available. And, I’m sure BMW would void your drivetrain warranty

Is the functionality for the radiator opening and closing part of the grill? I thought that the grill is just purely cosmetic and the actual functionality hides behind it. I’m not sure how this would void the drivetrain warranty, as it shouldn’t affect performance at all.

I found this but I’m not sure how shady the website is. I also haven’t really seen any videos of people using it, but if you are brave enough then give it a shot 😉

Ah. A valid point. I’ve never delved into the grill vs the flap parts. You may be on to something

You think the difference between an xLine front grill and the Shadowline grill (and in '23 the base grill) is anything more than just a trim piece? You think the active shutters are attached to each different style grill cover?
