despite numerous software updates the issues are..
1. it will give 20 options, and unless i have a co-pilot, cant scroll down unless I stop the car.
2. even if only two choices (eg on wife's or my phone), then tell BMW chose 1 or 2, the phone number comes up and have to touch the screen to call. Not very safe as have to take eyes off road to hit the OK button or whatever is,
Bring Back iDrive 101, where you say call Joe Blogs and it calls him straight way!

Yeah. Touch screens are not meant to be used in cars.

I don’t know if what your describing is normal where you live, dictated by law. I am in NA & my ID9 screen scrolls well when I’m driving.
Question, have you set up assistant properly & tried “HEY BMW” or pushed the “Talk button” on the steering wheel, for the voice activated option? There are many functions you can get to simply be asking. Once you become familiar with it, it works fairly well.

One example is you can simply tell the vehicle what you want rather than what you describe you have done.>>>
