Can anyone please help me out with this at all?
Hi I have a 2007 e90 325i that now won't start I have no idea what it could be as it was driving and starting up before hand it just died out while reversing out one day and wouldn't kick over from then on I ran the code scanner and it comes up with Codes P0174 confirmed and P0016 confirmed then also has Codes P0301 Pending P0302 Pending and P13B2 Pending I've tried to get it looked at by a mechanic and to put into a shop but can't get luck anywhere and it's now been a few weeks since and need to get it running again for my everyday needs, is anyone able to give me any information or helpful insight on what might be the problem and what's causing this please .

DTC -P0174- reads as ("System too lean, bank 2 System Too Lean") And DTC -P0016- reads as ("Crankshaft position/camshaft position, bank 1 sensor A - correlation
Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation") I will attach screenshots off the scanned code readings for you, |

I could believe the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) is bad. The misfire codes/lean codes arise because the CPS signal was goofy and causing the engine controller to trigger fuel injection or spark at the wrong time. Not much you can do behind the steering wheel. I've been told -- never confirmed this -- that if a CPS is bad one sign is while the engine is cranking and the RPM display remains inactive. This because no CPS signal is being received from which to derive RPMs. |
