I believe I saw something in the terms that you need to have 5-10posts and then after 5 days you are able to use PM .

Taking a lead from another distinguished community member, let me say welcome to Bimmerpost to all of the new members from around the world who joined this forum recently!

A tip for new members is that this forum site is a community. Participate in the forums, add *meaningful* posts (more than "me too" or "nice car"), gain some trust, and then maybe the moderator cabal (TINMC) will approve your PM access at their next monthly meeting.

None of the people responding here including me are moderators on this site. We're just letting you know that your behavior and expectations of immediate PM access are raising the possible scammer red flags among the forum's community.

Funny story - I've been a member here since 2019, and have never needed to send a PM to anyone. I have never even looked to see if I have PM access!!!!!

Of course, I completely understand that you have no need to send a PM to anyone, but there are a members like me who need some more informations from others who have more knowledge about the topik we are interested in.

This is the very reason why a *forum* like this exists! Use the search function, to see if anyone else has already asked the question and received an answer. If not, post and ask it, so that others with that same question can find the answer in the future using the search function.....

Asking someone a legitimate question directly by PM is considered poor net.etiquette, and will likely be ignored by the recipient.

The only members here that I have ever seen who need PM access on day one are software/maps pirates or scammers, and they should be looking at mhhauto.com or craigslist.com respectively for pirated maps/software or victims to scam.....

I guess I'm an exception because I'm not a pirate or a scammer . Of course, you have the right to express your opinion, but I see that there is no point in continuing this discussion. Regards
