I remember it well, I was working with the Public Order Unit that night. Big crowds and lots of concern that amounted to a big nothing burger. Probably the quietest New Years Eve I ever worked.

I was "on call" for Navy, I think they even gave me a pager.

Kind of like the 2012 Mayan prophecy, you know? Maybe the world actually ended, and we just didn’t notice. What if we’re living in the Matrix now? The Mandela Effect could be proof too, with all those little glitches showing we’ve shifted into a different reality
