2 month old 2024 BMW X1 xDrive28i with Harman Kardon sound. Had a couple of instances where there was no sound after remote start from BMW app (on an iPhone 12). It would resolve itself after turning off vehicle and letting it sit for a bit. However, couple of days ago again remote started via BMW app and this time sound has not returned. No sound of any kind from vehicle speakers (turn signal, radio, Carplay, SiriusXM). Vehicle indicates that Driver Assistance features are impacted, adjusting volume yields "No source available" message, trying to select SiriusXM channel gets "SAT in use by system" message.

I have tried suggestions found on this forum and elsewhere of rebooting by holding volume button. Have tried holding for 30 seconds all the way to 180 seconds, both with and without being in "diagnostic mode" (pressing start-stop button 3 times). Reboots occur, but still no volume. I don't think it is an amp/electrical issue given the messages I see - it seems like it is a software issue.

Any suggestions what else to try would be appreciated. Otherwise I guess it's back to the dealer - thanks.

if you dont mind losing your settings, you could also try a full reset (not reboot, but reset to factory) ... this helped me - I wasnt having a total loss of sound but couldnt get any sound from Alexa https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=480
